History of Davidoff cigarettes is indeed amazing. Little Zino Davidoff was born on March 11, 1906 in Kiev, Ukraine. His father Henri Davidoff was tobacco retailer and had his own cigarette store. When Zino was 6 years old, his family immigrated to Switzerland. Zino’s parents didn’t want their son to become cigarette merchandiser and sent him to study in Argentina. After unsuccessful attempt to work in restaurant, young Zino gets a job in tobacco factory. Later Zino traveled all over the South and North America studying technology of growing, drying and processing of tobacco. When he returned to Switzerland, he opened his own tobacco business. He began producing cigarettes named Davidoff in 1948. He invented special blend of tobacco and named it after his own last name guaranteeing high quality of cigarettes. In 1985 Davidoff started cooperating with company Reemtsma, as a result new brands of cigarettes appeared. Except fine quality Davidoff cigarettes, there are also wines, fragrances and other luxury things under the brand name of Davidoff.
